Fox-IT holds a possible control of the Dutch state about Fox Crypto, so it can be read in an article by NRC . The Dutch State wants to hold a finger on Fox-IT’s cryptography department. Certainly now the company from Delft comes to British hands.
NRC Handelsblad reported at the beginning of 2017 that the state wants control over Fox Crypto on the basis of a letter ( pdf ) that received the newspaper from the Military Intelligence and Security Service (MIVD) sent to Fox-IT. The Ministry of Defense still strikes Fox-IT’s objections and its British owner NCC. What the objections are precise is not clear.
The Dutch security company Fox-IT was taken over by 133 NCC at the end of 2015 by the British NCC Group. Fox-IT exists since 1999. With the acquisition, Dutch management hopes to accelerate growth. Fox-IT is led by CEO and co-founder Menno van der Marel. Other owners are Ronald Prins (photo) and Ad shipbuilder, former director of KPN, who bought a few years ago.
