The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) launched an investigation into Equifax. This lender was hit by a data call in May, bringing out 143 million customers .
This confirms a spokesman for Reuters . The computer game at Equifax took place in May, but was not noted until 29 July by the company. However, Equifax did not release the news until September. Meanwhile, the company confirmed that it was attacked through an outdated data file in Apache Struts, which was already poached in May. Thus, it can be concluded that Equifax has not kept its software up to date.
